Would be nice to get some savings for buyers. 15-20% is really not likely though. I don’t even think it’s going to go down 5% in price. There are markets where I’m confident you can get a 15-20% cheaper home that may be similar size and quality as what you originally wanted! Feel free to hit us up Bit.ly/CWREsurvey
I've actually noticed houses in Richmond Rosenberg decreasing prices by 20-30k on zillow. Saw one new D R Horton house even reduce price by 65k over last 8-9 months
@@mshaz4801 Yup, the average sold prices of homes in the area are around the same BUT the new construction houses on the market had to be discounted quite a bit to get rid of inventory. It'd be interesting to see what prices average out by end of year.
Really depends on what your priorities are! If distance isn’t a big factor and education matters a bit, Katy would be fantastic. City of Houston does have a few gems though. Also there are similar surrounding cities that can compare for diff needs. If you’re interested in hearing some options, connect with us here and we’ll find the best one for you! Bit.ly/CWREsurvey

Hoping Houston area takes a 15-20% dip.
My dream home was 350k in 2019 and that same home is now 540k. Nearly a 200k difference with a much higher IR.
IR = Interest Rate

Agree, 15-20% is not realistic. H town is a powerhouse market

This was super helpful-thanks! 😊 Any advice for newcomers on choosing between Houston and Katy? Both seem like amazing options!

I'm no expert but I think katy has higher property taxes & houston (harris county) has higher crime :)
